Steve Douglas, Director

​

Steve studied at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, where he achieved a BSc (Honours) degree in Architecture. Steve went on to gain a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Architectural Studies.

 

After graduating from university, Steve spent several years working for a local firm of architects before the opportunity arose to work with his brother. Together, they were involved with a wide range of clients and jobs, ranging from the smallest of house alterations to a multitude of bespoke house extensions, new build houses, and several large-scale housing developments, as well commercial projects.

 

After working alongside his brother for 12 years, Steve decided the time was right to set up his own architecture practice and utilise his wealth of experience to help take on a new role as director of Douglas Architecture  Ltd.

 

Away from the office, Steve has recently tried his hand at making bespoke home and garden furniture. He finds the process of taking an idea, developing it on paper, and then building it, very rewarding; a process he considers similar to helping clients with their projects.
